AI4ALL (artificial intelligence for all) is a new non-profit with the mission of bringing diversity and inclusion to the development, research, education and policy for artificial intelligence. AI’s impact on society is one of the more important questions facing the world today. We hope to drive an agenda that emphasizes AI’s potential to solve an incredibly diverse set of important societal problems. AI4ALL programs have empowered over 7,750 people globally with AI education. AI4ALL summer programs run at 11 top universities around North America. Eighty-one percent of alumni are interested in a career in AI after completing the program, and many are already making significant impacts in the field, from educating their peers to winning “best paper” at top AI conferences. In October 2019, AI4ALL launched the Open Learning Program, providing communities with free, approachable, project-based AI education.
By telling a new story about who can be a maker in AI, we’re creating tomorrow’s AI leaders and changing technology’s future. AI4ALL has received funding from Melinda Gates/Pivotal Ventures, Jensen and Lori Huang, Google.org, Prudential Financial, Microsoft, EY, and The Micron Foundation, among others and has been featured in the New York Times, TIME, CNN, USA Today, and The Atlantic.
